Your journey into the wild begins this morning as you depart Arusha and drive toward Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem famous for its giant baobabs and vast herds of elephants.
Upon arrival, dive straight into your first thrilling game drive. The Tarangire River winds its way through the park, drawing animals from far and wide — lions lounge in the shade, giraffes stride across the plains, and hundreds of bird species fill the skies.
After an exhilarating afternoon, arrive at your lodge or tented camp inside or near the park for dinner and overnight. Overnight Tarangire area lodge/camp.

Wake up to the sounds of the bush and head out for a full day of exploration in Tarangire.
Morning and afternoon game drives offer a chance to explore different parts of the park — Silale Swamp, the river systems, and rocky escarpments — each teeming with life.
Marvel at the sheer number of elephants, and if you’re lucky, spot leopards resting on tree branches or lions on the move. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or return to your camp for a midday break before another sunset safari. Overnight Tarangire area lodge/camp.

After breakfast, leave Tarangire behind and travel through the fertile fields and coffee plantations of Karatu or drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in sweeping views of the Crater or visiting a Maasai village to learn about their unique traditions. Overnight Karatu area lodges or Ngorongoro area lodges/camps.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning of safari in one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife arenas.
The Crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of animals, from endangered black rhinos and lions to enormous tusker elephants and flocks of flamingos.

After breakfast, head toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.
As you drive across the vast plains, wildlife sightings begin almost immediately.
Arrive in Central Serengeti’s famed Seronera Valley — a region rich in permanent water sources and known for its abundant big cat populations.

Today is dedicated to exploring Central Serengeti’s incredible wildlife territories.
Head out at dawn for a sunrise game drive when predators are on the move, or optionally soar above the plains on a hot air balloon safari (extra cost) for a bird’s eye view of the migration.
Spend the day tracking lions, leopards, cheetahs, and following large herds of zebras, gazelles, and wildebeests grazing across the grasslands. After a full day on safari, return to your camp and relax by the fire under starlit skies. Overnight lodges/camps in central Serengeti.

After breakfast, begin your journey northwards into the remote and breathtaking Northern Serengeti.
En route, enjoy game drives across changing landscapes — from open plains to rolling hills and riverine woodlands.
By afternoon, reach the Mara River area, where the Great Migration herds gather and crossings over crocodile-infested waters play out. Settle into your camp perfectly positioned near the river for easy access to the action. Overnight lodges/camps in Northern Serengeti.

Spend the full day tracking the Great Migration along the Mara River.
Your guide will position you at key crossing points, waiting patiently for the dramatic spectacle as wildebeest and zebras leap into the river, braving strong currents and predators lurking below.
Whether a crossing happens or not, the sheer volume of wildlife, predator action, and the raw beauty of this remote region will leave you breathless. Picnic lunches allow maximum time out in the field. Overnight lodges/camps in Northern Serengeti.

Today, enjoy a second full day exploring Northern Serengeti, ensuring maximum chances of witnessing a Mara River crossing or following massive herds on the move.
You can explore different parts of the north — Lamai Wedge, Kogatende, and the river’s twists and bends — each offering unique opportunities for incredible wildlife encounters.
End your safari days surrounded by the sights and sounds of the migrating herds and the predators who follow them. Overnight lodges/camps in Northern Serengeti.

After breakfast, enjoy a short final game drive if time permits.
Later, transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled bush flight back to Arusha.
Upon arrival, a driver will meet you for transfer to a day room (optional) to relax and freshen up before your international departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Migration Safari.
