Itinerary Details

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by your private guide and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Rest and relax after your flight.
Overnight: Nairobi hotel (e.g., Hemingways, House of Waine, or similar)
Day 2 Nairobi – Conservation & Colonial Legacy
- Morning visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where orphaned baby elephants are cared for and rehabilitated.
- Continue to the Giraffe Centre to meet endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.
- Enjoy lunch in the Karen area, followed by an afternoon visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the author of Out of Africa.
  Overnight: Nairobi
Day 3 Nairobi – Transfer to Mount Kenya

After breakfast, depart by road north toward Mount Kenya. Arrive at the legendary Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, set on the equator and offering breathtaking views of Africa’s second-highest peak. Spend the afternoon exploring the manicured grounds, visiting the animal orphanage, or simply relaxing in this historic setting once owned by actor William Holden.

Day 4 Mount Kenya Leisure & Exploration

Enjoy a full day at leisure. Optional activities include nature walks, horseback riding, a visit to the William Holden Wildlife Education Centre, or a tour of the nearby Mau Mau caves. The scenery, serenity, and service make this a perfect highland retreat.

Day 5 Mount Kenya – Transfer to Aberdare National Park

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Aberdare National Park and check in at The Ark Lodge, a tree-lodge designed for optimal wildlife viewing. Overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, this unique lodge offers up-close sightings of elephants, buffalo, bushbuck, and sometimes leopards right from your balcony.

Day 6 Full Day at The Ark

Enjoy a relaxed day immersed in the atmosphere of the Aberdare forest. Spend your time watching wildlife from the comfort of the lodge’s viewing decks, or join a short nature walk in the surrounding forest (weather permitting).

Day 7 Return to Nairobi – Departure
