Itinerary Details

Day 1 Dar es Salaam – Into the Wilds of Selous (Nyerere)

Fly from Dar es Salaam into the heart of Nyerere National Park, where the sprawling floodplains and river channels of the Rufiji unfold below.
Your guide greets you at the airstrip and transfers you to a riverfront lodge or luxury tented camp.
After lunch, set off on a sunset boat safari—glide through still waters as elephants drink, crocodiles lurk, and birdlife fills the skies.

Day 2 Selous – Game Drive Safari & Wilderness Trails

Spend the day exploring the remote corners of Selous on a game drive across miombo woodlands and open plains.
Track elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, and the elusive African wild dog.
Enjoy a bush lunch under a shady acacia or return to camp for a midday siesta.
Optionally, head out again in the evening or relax with sundowners by the river.

Day 3 Walking Safari & Cultural Encounters

Start the morning with a guided walking safari—experience the bush through its scents, sounds, and secrets, accompanied by an armed ranger.
Return to camp for breakfast and leisure. In the afternoon, opt for a short boat safari, cultural village visit, or simply unwind in nature’s silence.

Day 4 Selous to Ruaha – From River to Rugged Hills

After breakfast, fly northwest to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and wildest reserve.

Arrive at your camp/lodge nestled along the Great Ruaha River or in the heart of the bush.
Settle in and enjoy an afternoon game drive or relax and take in the vast solitude.

Day 5 Full-Day Game Drive in Ruaha

Venture deep into Ruaha’s predator-rich heartland, where lions hunt in prides, elephants roam in herds, and kudu, sable, and roan antelope thrive.
Explore hills, riverbanks, and open savannahs on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the wild.
Return to camp for your final sunset in the southern wilderness.

Enjoy one last bush breakfast as Ruaha stirs to life.
