Itinerary Details

Day 1 Welcome to the Wild – Arusha National Park

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Arusha National Park (45 minutes). This park has it all, from Tanzania’s second-highest peak, Mount Meru, to the Momella Lakes and the Little Serengeti. It’s northern Tanzania’s best-kept secret. Indulge in an experience like no other with a walking safari, canoe ride, and game drives. As the clouds part, behold the majestic snows of Kilimanjaro. This is just the beginning of your Hakuna Matata Safari! Overnight at a hotel/lodge in Arusha.
Day 2 Baobab Dreams – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart at 08:30 for Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobabs and dusty riverbeds tell stories of migrating herds. Embark on a game drive focused on spotting elephants, big cats, and birdlife. Overnight at a lodge/tented camp inside Tarangire.
Day 3 Journey to the Great Plains – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive as you exit Tarangire National Park, then drive through the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Highlands towards the legendary Serengeti. En route, visit a traditional Maasai village or the archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge. Afternoon game drive across the Serengeti plains. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp.
Day 4 Serengeti Safari Magic

This day demands an early start. Your driver/guide will arrange morning coffee/tea as you begin your game drive while birds welcome the dawn and light pierces through the savannah. Head out for a morning game drive followed by a hamper breakfast and more exploration. Return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest, then embark on an afternoon/evening game drive. Watch the sun set over the plains and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Serengeti to the Highlands

After breakfast, bid farewell to Serengeti as you drive towards Naabi Hill Gate and into the Ngorongoro Highlands. Marvel at the shifting landscapes and wildlife en route. Overnight at a lodge in the Ngorongoro or Karatu area.
Day 6 Crater Wonderland – Ngorongoro Crater

Early breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera. It is more than a giant zoo—its 600-meter deep walls create a perfect sanctuary for a myriad of wildlife existing in perfect harmony. From big tusker elephants and elusive black rhinos to flamingos, this is truly the Garden of Eden. Enjoy hamper lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs. Overnight at the same lodge in the Ngorongoro/Karatu area.
Day 7 Farewell to the Bush – Return to Arusha

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before returning to Arusha. Option to freshen up at a day room before transferring to the airport for your flight home or onward to Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia for a beach extension.
