SHIRA ROUTE

Day 1: Arusha to Londorossi gate o/n campsite.

Day 2: Wilderness camp o/n campsite.

Day 3: Circuit of Shira plateau o/n Shira hut (3,840m).

Day 4: Via Barranco (3950m) for a late lunch and on to Karanga valley o/n Barafu Hut (4,600m). 11 hours.

Day 5: Across the saddle to Kibo hut campsite (4,725m). 3 hours.

Day 6: Uhuru peak and down to Mweka hut campsite (3100m). 8+6 hours.

Day 7: To Mweka Gate (3-4hrs) and transfer to Arusha.
