RONGAI ROUTE

Day 1: To Rombo Gate. Begin trek to the first cave (2700m). 3-4 hours

Day 2: To second cave for lunch and onwards to Kikelewa cave on Mawenzi trail (3900m). 6-7 hours.

Day 3: To Mawenzi tarn hut (4330m).

Day 4: Across the saddle to school hut (4800m). 4-5 hours.

Day 5: To Uhuru peak and down to Mweka hut campsite.

Day 6: To Mweka Gate (3-4hrs) and transfer to Arusha.
