WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CAMPSITES
Note: Our quotes include use of public campsites, unless you request for Special campsites.
PUBLIC CAMPSITES
Campsites in the Park:
Seronera, Simba, Tarangire, Manyara and Arusha
The campsites are NOT fenced, so animals do tend to come close.
Most of these campsites have pit-latrines. Some have Water for showers, but this is not guaranteed.
Campsites outside the Park:
Jambo (outside Manyara), Kudu (at Karatu, near Ngorongoro), Palm (Outside Tarangire)
Jambo & Kudu: have running water, flush toilets and bars.
SPECIAL CAMPSITES
These cost US$40pppnt more than Public ones.
These campsites are less crowded & offer privacy. However, No toilet or shower facilities available here. We therefore suggest you opt for Semi-luxury camping if selecting special campsites as a shower-tent is provided in that option.
WHAT TO BRING
Among other things, we recommend you bring the following:
- Cool light clothing for the day
- Warm clothing for the evenings (Ngorongoro night time temp. often drops to about 20°C)
